To Activate Your goFAST Accelerator for Dial Up

1. Go to your MyAccount interface at: http://myaccount.gotricounty.com.
2. When logged in, on the left hand side menu, select "Add/Rem Basic Services".
3. On the screen that appears, scroll to the bottom and view "Accelerated Dialup", it will state the feature is currently off.  Click on the "Turn On" button to activate.
4. Now you can "Logout" or browse through the rest of your MyAccount interface.
5. Click on the "Download" button above and wait fifteen minutes before installing the new software, then follow the simple step-by-step on screen instructions to complete installation.

How Does It Work?
With traditional dial-up methods, the text and graphics that make up web pages get sent from the server to you over your phone line. Because of the large amount of data required to be sent, this process can be painfully slow. goFAST Dialup Accelerator’s Web Accelerator compresses this data using a proprietary technology and sends it over your existing dialup phone line. This compression process allows a smaller amount of data to be sent – up to six times less – making the download time of your web pages and your online experience that much faster. As an added download time reducer, goFAST Dialup Accelerator’s Web Accelerator stores elements of the web sites you visit frequently, eliminating the need to re-download them every time you visit these sites.

What Gets accelerated?
To achieve the fastest web and email acceleration available, proprietary compression is applied to text, html, xml, javascript and style sheets. Proprietary image compression is applied to gif images, jpeg images and Flash content. goFAST Dialup Accelerator also accelerates email traffic and is compatible with any POP3/SMTP client, including Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape Mail. goFAST Dialup Accelerator will not currently accelerate file downloads such as music files, streaming video or audio media.

goFAST Dialup Accelerator also offers additional value-added services to speed up your web and email usage:

• Pop-Up Blocker - block annoying pop-up advertisements while surfing!
  goFAST Dialup Accelerator can prevent pop-up windows and floating flash advertisements from appearing while you browse the Internet. This feature is enabled by default, and no user intervention is required. However, you can also easily disable this feature at any time. goFAST Dialup Accelerator allows you to specify a "White List" of sites where pop-ups will not be blocked, and you can also see a list of all pop-ups that were blocked.
• Banner-Ad Blocking - Stop the ads, and surf faster!
  goFAST Dialup Accelerator can block many graphical advertisements that appear on web pages (i.e. ad banners). Enabling this feature will prevent these ads from being downloaded and displayed in your browser, reducing download time.
• Integrated Diagnostic Support Tool

goFAST Dialup Accelerator offers the most extensive compatibility. goFAST Dialup Accelerator works seamlessly with Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later) and Firefox 1.5 (or later), as well as any other web browser that allows you to specify an HTTP proxy. (Consult your browser's documentation for additional information.) goFAST Dialup Accelerator supports Windows (95/98, ME, 2000, NT, XP, Vista) as well as MAC OS-X and PDAs – The recommended system requirements are a Pentium PC 200MHz with 64MB of RAM and at least 11 MB of hard-disk space. On a Macintosh computer, a PowerPC G3 processor with OS X 10.2 (or later) with 333Mhz and 128MB RAM and 6MB of hard drive space is the minimum requirement.
